Distributed Ledger Technologies ("we", "us", or "our") operates MacMetal Miner Pro Max (the "Software"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Software.
Information We Collect
MacMetal Miner Pro Max is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- License Key: Your Gumroad license key is verified against Gumroad's servers to validate your purchase. We do not store your license key on our servers.
- Bitcoin Address: Your Bitcoin wallet address is stored locally on your device only and is sent to the mining pool you select. We never collect or store your Bitcoin address.
- Mining Statistics: Share counts and mining statistics are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your computer.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone)
- Location data
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Browsing history
- Private keys or seed phrases
Third-Party Services
The Software connects to the following third-party services:
- Gumroad: For license verification. See Gumroad's Privacy Policy.
- Solo Mining Pools: Your Bitcoin address and mining work is submitted to your selected pool (Public Pool, CKPool, or SoloMining.io). Each pool has its own privacy policy.
- CoinGecko API: For Bitcoin price data. No personal information is transmitted.
Data Storage
All user data is stored locally on your Mac in the following locations:
~/.macmetal_address - Your Bitcoin address
~/.macmetal_license - Your license key
~/.btc_shares.json - Share statistics
~/Library/Logs/MacMetalMiner/ - Crash logs (for troubleshooting)
You can delete all stored data at any time by removing these files.
Security
The Software:
- Uses HTTPS for all network communications
- Never transmits private keys or seed phrases
- Does not have access to your wallet funds
- Is source-available and auditable on GitHub
Children's Privacy
Our Software is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
